Petrol becomes cheaper

ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday night announced a reduction of Rs8 per litre in the price of petrol for the next fortnight from January 16.

According to an announcement made by the ministry of finance, ” The government has reduced petrol price by eight rupees, whereas the price of diesel has been maintained.”

With the latest reduction, the price of petrol has come down from 267.34 rupees per litre to 259.34 rupees.

The price of diesel stands unchanged at 276.21 rupees.

The prices of petroleum products are reviewed after every 15 days ie on the 15th and 30th or 31st of every month based on the changes in the international market.

In the last two reviews, the prices had been kept unchanged.
