Student commits suicide after failing in MDCAT
PESHAWAR: A student of Islamia College Peshawar from Parachinar committed suicide after failing to obtain high marks in the Medical and Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT) even after attempting three times.
The deceased was a first semester student of BSc zoology and lived in the hostel of the college. The provost of the hostel said fellow students found Mubashir unconscious in his room and took him to hospital where died. The student had consumed poisonous pills, he added.
The father of the student said his son had ended his life after failing to secure admission in medical college even after attempting for the third time. MDCAT was held in KP on Nov 26.
