Overloaded truck falls over taxi car; three injured

CHITRAL: A woman and a child were injured when an overloaded truck overturned and fell over a car parked along the roadside in Asuret on Monday morning. 

Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral said the truck was carrying wheat bags to Chitral and met with the accident due to the poor condition of the road. 

Rescue staff, after being alerted about the accident, reached the spot and took out the car driver who was stuck in the driving seat and injured. 

A woman and her little son sitting in the car also sustained minor injuries and were shifted to the THQ hospital in Drosh. 

The emergency service staff later removed the truck from the road using heavy machinery.
