Meeting called on PM’s order to resolve power crisis

PESHAWAR: A meeting has been convened at the Governor House in Peshawar to discuss measures to resolve the longstanding power crisis in Chitral.

The meeting will be held at 3pm on Sunday (today) in which authorities concerned will deliberate on steps to be taken to tackle the power outages in Chitral. Former MNA Shahzada Iftikharuddin will brief the meeting about the power issue of Chitral.

The meeting is being held under the chair of the governor KP after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that the power outages in Chitral should be resolved and the outdated distribution system of the area replaced.

The premier issued the directions at a meeting with a delegation of PML-N Chitral led by Shahzada Iftikhar in Islamabad on Jan 27.
