Lowari tunnel approach road reopened

DROSH: The Lowari tunnel approach road was on Friday reopened for traffic after removal of flood debris and boulders.

The deputy commissioner Lower Chitral’s office stated that heavy machinery was used to clear the road by the National Highway Authority (NHA) under the supervision of the assistant commissioner of Drosh.

The main road to Chitral was also closed after flash flooding in a nullah at Saeedabad.

Scores of houses were damaged by the deluge two days ago, local officials told ChitralToday.
