PTI govt corrupt and most incompetent: ANP
CHITRAL: Awami National Party (ANP) Lower Chitral took out a rally against rising inflation, unemployment and corruption that have made the life of the common man miserable.
The rally led by provincial head of the party’s women wing Khadija Chitrali and president of ANP Lower Chitral Eidul Hussain reached outside the local press club and held a demonstration there.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Khadija, Eidul Hussain, M.I. Khan Sarhadi and Salahuddin Toofan said the selected government of the PTI was the most incompetent in the history of Pakistan due to which people were suffering.
The party had come to power with the slogans of justice, development and creating 10 million jobs and constructing one million houses for the poor. But three years down the lane, it has not fulfilled even one of the promise and instead bulldozed houses of poor people and made thousands of others jobless.
The selected government also put the country’s economy at the mercy of international lending organizations due to its poor policies and lack of vision and leadership.
They said the nation had never in the past seen such high level of corruption, price hikes and lack of employment opportunities.
Instead of improving its own performance, the government was now trying to silence the media by introducing a draconian law in order to conceal its anti-people policies. \
They also expressed their concerns over alleged irregularities in the appointment of staff for the health department and Rescue 1122 Chitral, adding the posts were sold out for Rs300,000 each.
The speakers demanded that the government should provide jobs to the youth on merit and stop corrupt practices in its departments.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
