PESHAWAR: On the direction of the chief justice, Peshawar High Court (PHC) Mingora bench will hear cases of litigants of Chitral through video link.
This will give a huge relief to people of Chitral as litigants, lawyers and witnesses would not need to go to Mingora during hearing of their cases.
This was stated by District and Sessions Judge Lower Chitral Ms Phool Bibi while speaking at the oath-taking cermoney of the District Bar Association here on Saturday.
She said work on the construction of a judicial complex in Chitral had remained suspended due to shortage of funds for three years. She said due to her efforts now the construction has been restarted and she was personally monitoring the progress on it.
These initiatives would help ensure speedy justice to the people of the area.
The district and sessions judge later administered oath to the bar president Niaz A. Niazi, vice president Sajadullah, general secretary Khadimul Akber, finance secretary Jahan Zeb and executive members Aftab Rahim Baig and Muhammad Azim Baig.–Bashir Hussain Azad
