The affected people were living under the open sky without any assistance coming from the government.
Volunteers from the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) and Al-Khidmat Foundation have reached the site to help the displaced families.
Meanwhile, people remain stranded on both the southern and northern sides of the damaged road.
Some passengers, including women, were seen taking a long detour via a hilltop on foot to reach their destinations on either side of the damaged road.
The travelers said had the government taken precautionary steps on time the road could have been saved along with houses and other properties of the residents.
They called upon the government to come to the help of the displaced families, announce compensation for them and arrange alternative road on an emergency basis.
