Student from Brep completes PhD dissertation

Mehnaz Liaquat from Brep in Upper Chitral has successfully defended her PhD dissertation in biotechnology under the supervision of Meritorious Professor/Dean Dr. Bashir Ahmed of Center of Biotechnology and Microbiology, (COBAM), University of Peshawar.
The topic of her dissertation was “Phytochemicals, nutritional, bioassay screening and molecular docking of compounds from Rosa Webbiana wall ex-royle.”
The Kowar equivalent of Rosa Webbiana is “Throni”. She has published two research articles related to her work.
Mehnaz Liaquat passed her matriculation examinations from Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan School Karachi and FSc from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Karachi. She did her BSc and MSc in Biotechnology from University of Karachi and M.Phil from university of Peshawar.
Mehnaz Liaquat is the daughter of famous educationist Liaquat Ali, daughter-in-law of Haji Yar Khan and wife of Farid Ali, SST, Science at GHS, Brep.
She is younger sister of Dr. Mehmood Ali and Choudhry Rehmat Ali.

Mehnaz determined to do this amid family challenges of getting married, raising a kid, fulfilling household responsibilities and simultaneously going through research work. This was an uphill task that she achieved without loosing much time. This speaks for her strong will, determination, commitment and dedication. Bravo!
