Dead body of woman recovered from pond in Oveer
CHITRAL: The body of a young married woman was recovered from a pond in Muzhen village of Oveer in Upper Chitral area on Tuesday.
Subdivisional police officer Mulkhow Abdus Sattar said the relatives of the woman, mother of two children, had lodged a report in the local police station about her missing.
He said the woman’s body was shifted to hospital for autopsy, adding cause of her death would be determined after the autopsy report.
Mr Sattar said the police were conducting an inquiry under section 174 of CrPC to unearth the truth about the death of the young woman, whose husband was in Saudi Arabia.
A month earlier, bodies of a teenage girl and a 23-year-old man were found in the forest of the neighbouring Nichhagh village of Oveer.
