NADRA office closed after detection of coronavirus
DROSH: The office of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Drosh was on Tuesday closed for two days – Aug 12 and 13 – after two staff members were found infected with coronavirus.
The decision was taken by the deputy commissioner of Lower Chitral on the recommendation of the district health officer (DHO), according to a notification available with ChitralToday.
As Friday is a national holiday on account of Independence Day, the office will now reopen on Monday, said officials.
Coronavirus cases have emerged in a large number of Drosh, Shishi Koh and other areas of Chitral. Most of the patients are said to be asymptomatic and have been isolated in their homes.
By Aug 8, 538 positive corona cases had been reported from Lower and Upper Chitral with five deaths from Lower Chitral.
