103-year-old man in Chitral beats coronavirus

BOONI: A 103-year-old man has recovered from COVID-19 and sent home from a private emergency response centre in Booni Upper Chitral.

The AKHSP in a statement on Tuesday said Aziz Abdul Alim, a resident of Lot Dur in Booni, was admitted to the centre on July 1 and discharged the other day after recovering from the disease.

Assistant commissioner infected

Assistant Commissioner (headquarters) Lower Chitral Abdul Wali Khan has tested positive for coronavirus.
He has led the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak from front since March 2020 and got infected during his duties.
The DC Lower Chitral office said Mr Khan was under treatment in Peshawar.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that confirmed coronavirus cases are still reporting to healthcare centres in both Upper and Lower Chitral.
