Coronavirus detected in four more people

CHITRAL: Coronavirus detected in four more people. Laboratory results of four patients, including a four-year-old boy, came positive for coronavirus in Lower Chitral on Saturday, according to lab results available with ChitralToday.

With the new cases, the number of total patients in Chitral increased to 32 while four of them have already recovered and sent home.

As many as 27 of the total infected people were in Lower Chitral and five in Upper Chitral.

The new patients (names withheld to protect privacy) are: a 50-year-old man from Jughoor who was quarantined for five days at a hotel upon his return from outside Chitral.

The second patient, aged four year and a resident of Zargarandeh, was also quarantined in a hotel after returning from Peshawar.

The third patient is 32 years old man from Osiak and is admitted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh.

The fourth patient is a 28 years old man from Swat. He had come to Chitral on March 30 and was later quarantined at a hotel in the Chitral town for the last 11 days.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Pakistan on Feb 26, 2010.

The coronavirus was detected in Chitral for the first time on April 19.

The first case in Upper Chitral was reported on April 21 which now has five cases and one of them has been sent home after recovery.–Bashir Hussain Azad
