BOONI: District Police Officer Upper Chitral Zia Hassan at a meeting with newly-appointed Station House Officers (SHOs) directed them to crack down on drug peddling and other crimes.
Measures to prevent crime, recover narcotics and strengthen security across the district were discussed in the meeting.
The DPO directed the SHOs to fulfil their professional responsibilities effectively, prioritising the elimination of drug trafficking, crime prevention and the maintenance of law and order.
He also stressed the importance of protecting the lives and property of citizens and improving the overall standard of policing.
The DPO said that all available resources would be utilised to maintain peace and order and ensure effective crime prevention throughout Upper Chitral.
