Woman’s decomposed body recovered from riverside

CHITRAL: The decomposed body of a woman was recovered from the riverside at Sinkulum area located between Ayun and Orghoch on Tuesday, police and rescue officials said.

Some locals spotted the body lying in the water and informed police.

The police along with Rescue 1122 personnel reached the spot and retrieved the body.

They said the body was quite old and decomposed. The police shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital Chitral for legal formalities and identification of the deceased’s relatives.

It could not be ascertained if the woman had committed suicide or drown in the river, or murdered. There had not been any report about any woman going missing from any part of Chitral.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
