Rs2.1m recovered from food dept. official

CHITRAL: The Anti-corruption Department recovered Rs2.1 million from an official of the Food Department Chitral which he had misappropriated.

Anti-corruption circle officer Abdul Maroof told the media that an inquiry against the food inspector PRC Drosh was initiated in 2017.

He alleged that the food department official had not deposited the amount in government treasury after collecting it through the sale of wheat.

He said during the course of inquiry, the allegation of causing loss to the national kitty was proved against the official after which he made the payment.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
