Funds approved for Chakdara-Chitral road: MPA

TIMERGARA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA from Adenzai Humayun Khan has said the federal government has approved funds for construction of Chakdara-Chitral road.

Talking to journalists at Chakdara on Sunday, he said a delegation of Lower Dir MPAs and PTI workers met the chief minister in Peshawar a few days ago and apprised him about public grievances.

The Chaksara-Chitral road has been in poor condition for years.

He said the CM had taken serious notice of the issues highlighted during the meeting. He said the chief minister had also ordered construction of Kalpani-Talash bypass road besides a sports’ stadium and a family park in Balambat.

The MPA said the CM had asked the local lawmakers to arrange land for the projects. He said the government would initiate work on an industrial state and a sports’ complex if land was provided for both the projects.

The lawmaker said work on Chakdara bypass road and Sanam Dam projects would start soon.
