Man gets seven-year imprisonment in child molestation case
CHITRAL: A court here on Thursday sentenced a man to seven years in prison in a child molestation case.
Sanaullah was arrested on the charges of abusing a minor boy and making its video. Hearing the arguments of the counsel for both the parties, District and Sessions Judge Javedur Rehman sentenciled him to seven years imprisonment.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs2 million on him. The charges of molestation could not be proved but the man was convicted of making a video of the minor boy.
In another case, the same court awarded life-imprisonment to an Afghan national, Abdur Razzaq, for carrying six kilograms of hashish and as many quantity of heroin.
His other accomplices, Abdul Aziz, Sher Nawaz and Abdul Jalil were acquitted due to insufficient evidence produced in the court. His other accomplices including Abdul Halim, Suleman, Mehrabuddin and Noorullah were declared proclaimed offenders.
