Rally participants ask residents not to throw garbage

CHITRAL: Residents of Zargarandeh took out a rally to create awareness of cleanliness and plantation and promote civic sense among the citizens.

The rally was led by neighbourhood nazim Manzoor Ahmed. Environment friendly shopping bags were also distributed among the participants of the rally by the nazim.

The participants were told not to throw their domestic garbage in the streets or any other place randomly and use the dustbins placed at specific places in the area from where the TMA staff would pick them for disposal.

The nazim added that as the tenure of the local governments was expiring, he would continue working for the welfare of the local residents.

Meanwhile, people of the area said as the local nazim Manzoor Ahmed resolved most of their issues most important of them being shortage of drinking water.
