Training of hospital staff on waste disposal concludes

BOONI: The aim of the solid waste management training is to make it sure that hazardous hospital waste is disposed of carefully to make hospital premises free of the spread of any infectious disease.

Under a series of training programme, the District Health Development Centre organized a training for the staff of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Booni.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the event, former district health officer Dr Sher Qayyum and others said after knowing the types of waste it would be possible for the staff concerned to dispose of each and every waste separately in a scientific way.

They said used syringes, drips and other hospital waste needed to be disposed of in a very careful manner and the staff concerned needed proper training as well as equipment.
