Pruning of trees begins to protect power lines in town
CHITRAL: The power utility company has started pruning tree branches touching transmission lines in Chitral town.
PESCO’s Subdivisional officer Engineer Sami Ullah said cutting of the tree branches would be carried out four hours every day. He said the objective of the drive was to save the lines and transformers from being damaged.
He said during the process, power would be disconnected and the consumers should cooperate with the company as it was aimed at improving service.
When these tree branches damage the lines and transformers, electricity supply remains cut off and the consumers suffer, he added.
He also said that the consumers should ensure the payment of their boils on time to avoid power disconnection.
