Contractors decide to boycott tenders

CHITRAL: Representatives of contractors here on Monday said that they would boycott tenders of different government projects to be held on Jan 11.
Office-bearers of All Contractors Association Chitral, including Sideeq Ahmed, Fazlur Rehman, Sultan Dawood and Saifur Rehman, said the association’s provincial chapter had already decided that until the government resolved contractors’ issues they would not take part in any tender.
They said all the contractors of different categories should follow the decision of the association for their own interests.

  1. No surprise to see this news item, what is lacking in their statement is the fact why they want to boycott the tenders. For readers who can grasp the tacit objective and read between the lines, the reason why is quite clear. However it would be kind of the association if they come up clear and state the reasons. Otherwise such statements only leave them as losers.
