Rs32 bn spent on projects in Chitral, NA told

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Makhdoom Khusro Bukhtiar said Rs63 billion have been earmarked for different projects in Chitral.

Of this amount, Rs32 billion have been released and spent on the schemes.

The minister was responding to a calling attention notice in the National Assembly regarding exclusion of development schemes of Chitral from PSDP 2018-19.

The minister said foreign funded allocation for schemes in Chitral amounted to Rs14 billion while a special allocation had been made for Chitral-Shandur road.

He said Shandur road would be the alternative route to Karakoram Highway.
