Chitrali student qualifies for admission to AKU
ISLAMABAD: Alveena Zafar, daughter of Dr Zafar Ahmed of Junalikoch Chitral, made it to the prestigious Aga Khan University Medical College Karachi.
The AKU, one of the top-raking medical universities in Asia, conducted nationwide entrance tests to select students for its undergraduate medical programme.
An avid reader, Alveena remained an outstanding student throughout her academic career. She has done her ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level from Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences (ICAS).
The AKU holds the entry tests for admitting about 100 students for its MBBS programme each year.
After qualifying entry tests, the candidates are shortlisted for an interview. Shortlisting for the interview is based on combination of secondary school achievement and the AKU admission test score. A student is eligible for admission to the AKU if they qualify the entry test as well as the interview.
