Laspur residents demand reconstruction of British era bridge

RAMAN: Dwellers of three villages in Laspur valley of upper Chitral have demanded that the government reconstruct the British era bridge over the local river to avoid any mishap.

They said the bridge built under the supervision of a subedar major Aftab Ahmed Khan from Bengal in 1931 should be replaced before any mishap as it has become dilapidated. They also called upon the government to widen the road to the villages. –GH Farooqui
