Sacked Nigahbans’ hunger strike in Booni enters second day

BOONI: Nigahbans hired by forest department and then sacked without payment of their nine months’ salaries continued their hunger strike here on Wednesday.

A committee headed by tehsil nazim of Mastuj has been formed to hold talks with the forest department. But sources said the forest department officials were trying to buy time and get the protesting Nigahbans dispersed through making promises which the latter were not ready to accept.
