Traders set up camp to welcome candidates

CHITRAL: As filing of nomination papers for the July 25 elections continued, the setting up of a reception camp to welcome and garland candidates of all political parties has been welcomed by people belonging to all walks of life.

Local leaders and activists of different parties hailed the setting up of the reception camp at Ataligh Bridge by Shabbir Ahmed and Sabir Ahmed, who are the presidents of the traders’ union and Tericjhmir drivers’ union, respectively.

The political activists said welcoming and garlanding all the candidates irrespective of  their party affiliations sent out a message of tolerance and created an atmosphere of accommodation which were vital for a democratic dispensation.

The candidates, including Abdul Lateef and Maulana Abdul Akbar, also expressed their gratitude to the traders. –Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
