A press release issued by the Scouts said during the relief operation rations were distributed among the stranded people of Mastuj.
The food and other items were taken to Mastuj in army helicopters. The helis also airlifted stranded people from Chitral city and Mastuj. Nine people including patients were airlifted from Chitral and dropped in Mastuj while on return eight people including patients were brought to Chitral from Mastuj.
The army helicopters also picked 22 stranded people including patients from Chitral and dropped them at Khozakhela. Moreover, 25 people were taken to Panakot from Chitral by road.
More sorties between Chitral and Khozakhela were also planned to pick stranded people.
