ChitralToday that the peon, identified as Saiful Islam, a resident of Denin, was on the night duty in the absence of the watchman, Rehmat Hussain. When staff reached on duty early on Monday morning, the peon was found dead in a room. His body was taken out after breaking the lock open. The sources said the watchman, Rehmat Hussain, had gone on a Tableeghi mission and in his absence the peon was assigned the job of the watchman. When contacted, Mr Nazir, an official at the Chitral police station told ChitralToday that the body had been sent to the DHQ hospital for an examination. A proper investigation should be carried. The DEO female should be questioned for forcing a peon to look after the job of a chowkidar which is against the law. An impartial probe into the matter is need of the hour.
