Poet, singer Mubarak Khan dies

CHITRAL: Khowar language’s popular songwriter and singer, Mubarak Khan Mubarak, died at the age of about 75 on Sunday night. He wrote numerous songs which were most popular among the Khowar speaking people of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan. Mubarak Khan was not only a well-know poet but also a popular singer. His songs were liked by thousands of people mostly at a time when radio was the only means of entertainment. His contributions to the promotion of Khowar language would be long remembered.]]>
