New people are and should be welcomed.
The problem with PTI in Chitral is that some of the so called ideological workers do not like new comers to the party. While they themselves do not have the capacity for contest even for general counselorship. Some of the senior workers who are hurdle in accepting new people refused to contest in the local body elections when were given tickets. While some risked their political careers and fought hard battles with strong candidates. People who are close to masses should be the ones leading the party.
Whatever the case even with Provincial governments slow response to issues PTI is very popular part among the youth and increasing it’s support base among the educated people and overseas Chitralis.

Very nice article, however i disagree with a few points here,
“Imran Khan’s reported outburst during a meeting in Chitral advising a troublesome questioner to join PML (N) does not augur well for the party”. This has never happened as reported by the writer and what he said was that when he was given presentation and told about the contributions made by the federal government for flood affectees he replied that Chitralis should have voted for Nawaz Sharif in the elections. Secondly the writer has mentioned the name of Sultan Shah and it would have been good to provide further details regarding the Nazim as i have never heard of him.

A good analysis, however regarding two points, I submit that
1) Bhutto was surely not the best thing that happened to Pakistan. Before him, Pakistan was stable and strong. He prodded the secession of the country by sloganning “udher tum, idher hum”. He created and promoted unnecessary class hatred and used the wedge between the poor and the rich to further his politics. He told the people about their rights but not their responsibilities leading to an irresponsible nation that we are today. He allowed students to be promoted without passing exams, a most criminal offence with the society for which we are suffering today. He was a hypocrite, talking of the poor but having all waderas and landlords in his cabinet. Only one or two socialists as show piece whom he couldn’t bear for long and disgraced them later in his tenure.
2) PTI (Imran Khan) has failed in his promise of dispensing accountability by mutilating the Ehtisab bill in KP and showing the door to an honest DG ehtisab. He doesn’t have the guts nor the acumen to carry out across the board accountability and gradually he is putting accountability slogan in the back burner (Nawaz Sharif being an exception with him may be due to personal vendetta)
