ARANDU: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and in a befitting manner in Arandu, a historic town located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Chitral.
Various events were organized in Arandu to mark Independence Day with the support of Chitral Scouts 141 Wing.
As part of the celebrations, a rally was taken out in Arandu, which was attended by a large number of local residents. The participants carried Pakistan’s national flag and banners bearing messages of solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Addressing the participants, the speakers said that it was their good fortune to live in an independent country. They paid rich tribute to the elders who made sacrifices for the freedom of Pakistan.
The speakers reiterated their commitment to making every possible sacrifice for the defence of Pakistan and said that the people of Arandu stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
They said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan had rendered invaluable sacrifices in defence of the country, which they deeply appreciate and honour.
The participants chanted slogans including “Long Live Pakistan,” “Long Live Pakistan Armed Forces,” and “Long Live Chitral Scouts”.
