CHITRAL: More than 1,200 households in Dolomoch, Seenlasht and Singore have been without their main drinking water supply for the past 15 days after the supply line was washed away in recent flooding.
Residents say the damaged water supply line was the only major source of drinking water for the three localities. Its prolonged closure has left families struggling to meet their daily water needs.
Locals have urged the Lower Chitral administration and the Public Health Engineering Department to take immediate steps to restore the water supply and arrange an alternative source until the damaged system is repaired.
The affected residents said the continued shortage was causing serious hardship, particularly for women, children and elderly people, and called for an urgent response from the concerned departments.
