Seven injured treated at DHQ hospital after quake
CHITRAL: Seven people injured in teh earthquake in Chitral were treated at DHQ hospital.
Doctors at the DHQ hospital said the injured were given first aide and sent home. There were also reports that a number of houses had been partially damaged in the town and nearby areas. However, the situation in far-off areas of Chitral could not be ascertained.
One of the injured brought to the DHQ hospital was identified as Muhammad Ghulam, son of Darvesh Khan, a resident of Susum, Karimabad. He was injured after a falling stone hit him at Shasha near Chitral.
A resident of the Yarkhun valley in upper Chitral said there was no damages but the earthquake further made cracks in the partially damaged mudhouses in the area after the recent rains.
He said the road to the area was still open but most of the people remain indoors due to the cold wave still persisting in the area after the recent heavy rains.–Bashir Hussain Azad
