Threatened by flooding, residents appeal for safety measures

About 150 households live in the Mulgram area and have seen damages to the irrigation canal of Lagh-Dok, Dok and Shakaranden at Shakaranden during the recent rains and floods. Shakaranden is situated at main point of Booni Gol. In case of further flood in the stream in the coming summer, the water would overflow from this damaged canal and damage the houses and private properties in the locality. The residents of the area said that the best way to ensure the safety of the people of Mulgram and their properties is to construct a protection wall on an emergency basis. The residents requested all the government departments and non-government organizations to come to their rescue before it is too late. ]]>
