Kosht valley reconnected by temporary bridge
The bridge was opened on Wednesday morning for light traffic. The inhabitants of Kosht and adjacent villages expressed their heartiest gratitude for the enthusiastic personnel of Pak Army and the competent engineers of the Frontier Work Organization (FWO). Due to their devotion and sincerity, the installation of the bridge was done within just couple of days, they added.
It is to be noted here that during the flash floods in July this year, two bridges connecting the Kosht valley with other parts of the district were washed away leaving the area isolated and the inhabitants stranded.
The role of elected representatives, especially that of MNA Shahzada Iftikhar Uddin, is highly appreciated because his positive response and proper advocacy made it possible to resolve the issue temporarily, said the people of the area.
They also expressed the hope that both MNA Shahzada Iftikhar Uddin and MPA Sardar Hussain will play their due role in making a permanent solution to the connectivity issue of the area.
The people added that the public representatives would definitely advise the concerned line departments for the reconstruction of the bridges in the long-term interest of the area.]]>
