The floods also washed away a bridge over the Yarkhun river in front of Meragram No 2, cutting off all the villages on both sides of the river from each other. The road to the Yarkhun valley from Mastuj is also blocked at Chinar-Pasum and Brep and people are facing hardship in the flooded and cut-off areas.

Liaquat Ali, a social activist and resident of the Brep village, said the people of Brep were living on the safe sides of Chikan and Darkhot Nallah. They had been requesting the district government, SRSP and AKRSP through their village and women organizations to help them keep the courses of the nullahs clear and allow the flood pass without interruptions.

The MNA Chitral was also aware of the danger of the floods to Brep. But none of them were ready to help V/WOs to keep the important points of the streams clean and thereby protect the beautiful village of Brep. Now the poor people are facing the consequences, he added.

Meanwhile, Wasim village in the Yarkhun valley has been totally washed away by floods in two streams. Similarly, there were also reports of floods in Bang village.
