Musharraf asks Chitralis to vote for APML

CHITRAL, May 11: Former president Pervez Musharraf on Monday asked the people of Chitral to vote for his party candidates in the forthcoming local government elections to continue the process of development which he had initiated. Addressing an election-related meeting of the APML at Terichmir Hotel here, he said due to some legal and security issues he was unable to visit Chitral, adding he was waiting for the day when all these issues would be cleared so that he would be visiting Chitral as his first priority. The meeting was attended by former presidential spokesman and APML leader retired Maj-Gen Rashid Qureshi, APML general secretary Dr Mohammad Amjad, MNA Shahzada Iftikhar Uddin and APML Chitral chief Shahzada Khalid Pervez. A large number of ticket holders of the APML also attended the meeting. Gen Musharraf asked the candidates to visit door-to-door and convey his message to the people to vote for the APML.]]>
