Power projects spreading in Chitral

BOONI, March 18: Work on a 500 kv hydro power house started in Booni on Wednesday. KP minister Muhammad Khan was chief guest on the occasion. Funded by the EU along with contribution from the local community, the project will complete in nine months. Speaking o the occasion, SRSP chief executive officer Shahzada Masoodul Mulk said that electricity generating projects worth Rs.700 million had been launched in Chitral to resolve the power crisis. Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister said that the PTI-led government was taking serious steps to resolve the power issue in the province. MNA Iftikhar Uddin said that the federal government had approved the supply of 30 MW to Chitral from the Golen Gol power project that would complete soon.
