Shandur road closed

GHIZER, Feb 8: Due to the latest snowfall in Ghizer and the adjoining areas, the Shandur road linking Gilgit-Baltistan with Chitral has closed for traffic. The area is under severe cold wave and there is also the shortage of water as all the canals and pipelines have frozen. People here are compelled to fetch water from river at a distance of many miles. Reports said that a number of passengers were stranded on the Shandur road.]]>
