Rs.10 million approved for Booni link roads

PESHAWAR, Feb 3: An amount of Rs.10 million were sanctioned for the construction of roads inside the Booni town. The approval was given by adviser to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on communication and work Akbar Ayub Khan during a meeting with a delegation from Booni. The amount would be provided for the road construction project from the special fund of the chief minister. Led by PTI upper Chitral leader Rehmat Ghazi, the delegation also shared their views with the adviser on the repair work on Booni-Chitral road, Booni bridge, Booni-Shandur road, alignment through Booni to Awi side. The condition of the existing Booni and Torkhow road was also discussed. The adviser assured them to settle the issues on a priority basis. He also sanctioned Rs.10 million for the construction of roads within Booni town, one of the participants of the meeting told ChitralToday on phone. The delegation also met Shahzada Masudul Mulk, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Sarhad Rural Support programme (SRSP), and requested him to resolve the issue of the construction of the powerhouse in Booni. Mr Mulk assured the delegation that civil work on the project would be initiated on a priority basis.
