I remember last year standing in the mouth of Tunnel in Dir Site with hundreds of passengers shattering from cold start arriving there by 10 pm and kept us waiting till 3 AM in month of Feb. Can you imagine a female with their children siting helpless inside a poor coach without heating and many require to visit Toilet.
We solute SRSP for the wonderful project and it is indeed a great idea, action of SRPSP to build up such facilities in both sites of the tunnel.
We equally appreciate the efforts of Chitral Scouts, Dir Scouts, Border Police and Police vigilant youths standing to serve their brothers, sisters and everyone during the journey to down cities from Chitral and vise verse.
This project of SRSP benefits everyone of Chitral, Dir and people traveling on Dir, Chitral road and Thanks a Lot to Management of SRSP and Colonel Naheem Iqbal the commandant Chitral Scout and other Army officials to own the project and providing facilitation role in the area.

i want to draw the attention of Mr.Shahzada Masoodul Mulk of SRSP that the rooms constructed at chitral side are out of proper use and without of facility.there is no proper management and the responsibility is laid down on chitral scout are not keenly ready to manage the rooms for passengers and the passengers are facing the cold snow without fire in the waiting rooms.it is better to give the responsibility to a person who can run it facilitate the passengers according to their need.My friend shuajjat ali appreciated the facilities that is just to butter the Shahzada Masoodul Mulk and not based on reality.just construction of a room at the side of tunnel is not achievement of SRSP but the main objective how to manage passengers during the harsh weather.

Good Job by SRSP team. We are proud of Shahzada Masoodul Mulk. It is a very good initiative rather I would say “Best thing since sliced bread” for the travelers especially for the Children and Women. I can afford luxury vehicle for my family to travel but there are other obvious needs during long hour rides that need decent and clean places. While traveling with my mother to down country last week I stopover in the facility at Chitral side and I found it blessing. Clean toilets, decent staff and appropriate arrangements made our journey pleasant. Thanks to SRSP and thanks to Chitral Scouts.

I wish the ceremony was held to inaugurate the daily opening of the tunnel which is the actual problem. Making hundreds of people hostage at the mouth of the tunnel is the real issue. On the two designated days, scores of passenger vehicles line up at the mouth of the tunnel on both sides for hours before being ‘graciously’ allowed to pass through. Meanwhile, few women and children who are sick or vomiting or have bad stomach can use the restroom in emergency. What about the hundreds of others who would be freezing out in the open. The answer is daily unhindered opening of the tunnel for passenger vehicles to pass through on approach – nothing more, nothing less.
