Embattled EDO appeals to PTI chief to reinstate her
CHITRAL, June 18: The highly politicized former district education officer (female) Chitral, Zehra Jalal, has appealed to PTI chairman Imran Khan to reinstate her on the post and order an inquiry if there was any complaint against her. In a letter addressed to Imran Khan, a copy available with ChitralToday, Ms Jalal referred to the notification, No SO/SF/E&SE-4-16-2014, issued by the education department KP on May 28, 2014, in which she was made officer on special duty (OSD). She said she was the only lady officer in Chitral who qualified the public service commission exam for the managerial post. She claimed that she had 25 years of unblemished service during which there had been not a single complaint submitted to the education department against her. “Now Mr Sajjad Ahmed, the provincial vice president of the PTI, has verbally reported against me just because that I have not honored his illegal recommendation for the appointment of a Class IV employee and honourable Education Minister has made me O.S.D.”[box type=”info”]The candidate for the Class IV post over whom the tussle began was later appointed at the Govt Centennial Model School Chitral on the pressure of the local PTI leaders. Sources identified him as Mudassir, son of Ghulam, a resident of Balach.[/box] She added: “I humbly request you that I may kindly be reinstated in my position, and if there is any written complaint against me that may kindly be put in an inquiry against me. And I must be punished if the allegation may be proved. “ She said, “To disturb a qualified lady of a remote area like Chitral is a step against the manifesto of the PTI Govt.” Meanwhile, sources said the embattled education officer has also approached different politicians, especially local Jamaat-e-Islami leaders who were trying to get her reinstated.]]>
The very approach of the lady officer is illegal as she has approached the wrong quarters who has appealed to the PTI chief Imran Khan instead of concerned quarters or going to the service tribunal. she had really made a mess in the education department and she was not entitled to occupy the post because she is a grade-18 officer while the post is of grade 19. she is also involved in corruption like operating ghost schools in the past and also favoring her relatives.
