Chitrali students seek senator’s help to get their rights

PESHAWAR, May 17: A delegation of the Chitral Students Association, headed by its newly-elected President Naushad Jan, met Senator Robina Khalid and discussed with her various challenges faced by the Chitrali students enrolled in various institutions of Peshawar.

In the meeting, the delegation presented the senator with written proposals to resolve their issues. The proposals were also passed on to the chairman Senate. Earlier, the delegation had had a detailed meeting with MPAs from Chitral – Sardar Hussain and Saleem Khan – who assured their full support to get the students’ issues resolved, said a press release.

The MPAs also promised to accompany the delegation to meet the governor KP to take up their issues with him. The delegation demanded quota seats for Chitral at the Islamia College at FSc level, separate seats for Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan in Peshawar, the return of the snatched seats in Khyber Medical College (KMC) and University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar, shifting of the main campus of the SBBU to Chitral and giving the announced scholarships of prime minister to the Chitrali students as soon as possible.

Finally, the delegation stressed the need to solve the problems faced by Chitrali female students in Peshawar. The delegation will meet the governor along with its proposals after the oath-taking ceremony which is scheduled in the coming week. The ceremony will be attended by Senator Robina Khalid, the representatives of Chitral and other people related with the education department.

    Nowadays Azam Swati of PTI is taking great interest in Chitral what do u think about his personality and what kind of development he will bring to Chitral………..Lets debate on that
