We are running out of patience, warn Yarkhun residents

CHITRAL: The residents of Yarkhun have demanded of the government to pay heed to the demands of the valley which was still deprived of the basic amenities of life due to the negligence of successive governments. Addressing a press conference here, the elites of the Yarkhun including the Broghil area, warned the government that their protest will not peaceful any more if their problems were not solved. Former union council nazim Mohammad Wazir Khan, Liaquat Ali, Abdul Nasir, Umer Rafi, Mir Gul and others said the area was strategically important which bordered the Wakhan corridor of Afghanistan but it was always neglected. They named almost all the sectors of development in which the valley lacked basic facilities and said that there were only three primary schools in the while union council which was, area-wise, the largest one in the province. They said that in this advanced age, the residents of Yarkhun and Broghil were not familiar with the shape of telephone sets which was enough to portray their backwardness. The elites of Yarkhun reiterated that they will no more tolerate the laxity and negligence of the government towards their valley and have assembled under a common platform of Tahreek-e-Taraqqi Yarkhun and determined to get their rights.–Zahiruddin  ]]>
