Protesters say courts biased against Musharraf

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15: A protest demonstration was held outside the National Press Club against the victimization of former president Pervez Musharraf. The protest was organized by All Pakistan Muslim League and attended by quite a large number people, including young people from Chitral. Those who spoke on the occasion included Maj-Gen retired Rashid Qureshi, Ahmed Raza qusuri Advocate, Dr Amjad and Afshan Adil. They said they did not expect any fair trial of Musharraf as the special court had been formed by former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry who had a personal grudge against Musharraf. The former president has been singled out in the so-called treason case as a revenge by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and in such a situation no one can expect fair trial. The messages of MQM chief and PML-Q president were read out on the occasion which said they were with the former president. Mr Qusuri added that if the doctors at AFIC allowed Musharraf will appear before the special court on Jan 16.]]>
