Imtiaz Jan advocate arrested

DROSH, Oct 30: Police here on Wednesday arrested Imtiaz Jan Advocate on the charge of threatening a citizen on telephone along with another person.

The lawyer from Drosh was taken into custody on the premises of the court after an additional district and sessions judge rejected his bail before arrest application in the case. Earlier, Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir of Drosh had filed a case against the lawyer for allegedly threatening him with dire consequences over the phone along with another man.

The complainant also charged Mumtza, of Khairabad, with the same allegation. It may be recalled that a few weeks back some people in Drosh had protested against the civil judge of Drosh for allegedly trying to detain a Chitrali girl at his official residence.

Imtiaz Jan Advocate was in the fore front of that protest.
