Youth asked to take part in healthy activities

CHITRAL, Sept 18: The Drosh football tournament concluded at the Chitral Scouts Polo and Football ground at Shahnigar, Drosh, on Tuesday footballSome 20 football teams participated in the tournament. The final match was contested between Brothers Eleven Potenyandeh and Hello Brother Langa team. No team could score any goal till the end of the first halftime after which Hello Brother scored one goal but soon it was equalized by its rival team. So there was a penalty stroke in which Hello Brother Langa team came out victorious. The tournament was organized by Shamsabad Sports Society Drosh. Sameer Altaf, a social organizer of Global Foundation for Human Rights, was the chief guest on the occasion who announced Rs15,000 for the organizing committee, Rs5000 each for the winner and the runner up team. He stressed upon the youth to participate in such healthy activities for physical and mentally fitness. A number of players complained that the youth of Chital especially in Drosh had best talent of football and other games but there was no public stadium in the whole Chitral. They said that one of our footballers, Mohammad Rasool, was playing with the Pakistan national team and we can create so many Mohammad Rasool if the government provided us facilities and opportunities for boosting and improving our skills.—GH Fraooqui  ]]>
