No rifts in PPP Chitral, claims Jiala
Report Jahan Zeb Khan
DROSH, Sept 18: Old PPP Jiala Akmal Bhutto has said the party had become a very strong force under the leadership of Saleem Khan in the district of Chitral.
Talking to chitraltoday.net here, Bhutto rejected what he termed a propaganda launched by some disgruntled elements that the party was facing disintegration in the district. He said that the PPP was on way to achieve its targets and trying to overcome the shortcomings seen in the May 11 elections. Even then, he added, the victory of Saleem Khan in the election showed the popularity of the party in the area. He said that Sardar Hussain, another candidate of the PPP from Chitral II, was defeated by just seven votes under a conspiracy and hopefully he will be declared a winner in the recounting of rejected votes and postal ballot papers on the directive of the election tribunal.
Akmal Bhutto appealed to party leaders Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto to allot some key post to Saleem Khan at the provincial level 0f the PPP so that he can play even more active role in promotion of the party in the area.

PPP is the party which has greater following in the country and in chitral. But the reality is that they still have the slogan “Aaj Bhi Bhutto Zinda Hay, Kal Bhi Bhutto Zinda Tha”. This is very ridiculous and illogical. If PPP has no other catchword to grab the public at least stop using these slogan. The rift in PPP came to fore at the time of ticket distritution, still exist among the so-calleed Jiyalas having grudges.
