College student killed, seven injured in accident

CHITRAL, Sept 9: A college student was killed and seven other people were injured in road accident near Seenlasht on Monday afternoon. According to the Chitral police, the pick-up Dutson carrying people during a wedding procession was coming to Chitral town from Dolomuch. When the vehicle was negotiating a blind turn near Seenlasht, it fell into a ravine. As a result, Azharuddin, son of Mohammad Ashraf advocate, of Seenlasht died on the spot while Shamsiar, Jan Sher Khan, Rehmat Ali, Asadullah, Mehtab Noor and Ghazanfar Ali were injured. They have been admitted to District Headquarters Hospital Chitral. The deceased was a student of the Govt Degree Colelge Chitral. The relatives of the accident victims complained that there was no electricity in the hospital. they said the government had provided a diesel generator to the hospital but it was not being used.—GH Farooqui]]>
